Course Description
This course is designed for anyone involved in the recording of minutes. It will cover the format and headings of the agenda and the minutes, which form the backbone of the minute-taking process; the different styles and layouts of the minutes recorded; and how to present minutes in a concise and professional style, with decisions and actions clearly stated.
The course will also cover the general writing skills needed to produce well-constructed minutes: paragraphing, sentences, grammar and punctuation, as well as the listening and communication skills required for accurate recording.
Course Design
This is a full-day, intensive tutor-led course that combines tutoring, discussions and practical work.
Target Audience
There are no prerequisites – the course is designed for any employee at any level involved in minute taking.
