The majority of courses are Computer Based Training (CBT) allowing time for flexible learning, either on site at fully equipped training centres or in your offices. The courses are based on proven instructional design principles combining interactive simulations and assessments to ensure effective skills transfer. These simulations contain specific ’learn by doing’ interactions that prepare the learner to meet real challenges in the workplace.
To meet the needs of global clients, some of our courses are available in several languages, including English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Hungarian, Turkish, Chinese, Korean and Japanese.
Key Advantages of our Courses
Precision Learning: Our courses contain a unique pre-assessment test, which removes topics that the learner currently knows, allowing them to focus only on the areas that are important to them. This feature is particularly relevant to students who have an existing knowledge base. This is an industry exclusive.
Simulation and Interaction: Interaction is used during the instruction to engage the learner’s attention, to reinforce and exercise skills being taught, and to provide feedback on the learner’s grasp of a skill or concept. The courses use simulations extensively to provide opportunities to learn and practise skills-based content. This ’learning by doing’ model is far more effective than the traditional true/false, multiple-choice approach.
Assessment Strategy: The courses randomly select assessment items for each mastery assessment. This ensures that the student has mastered the objectives as opposed to becoming ’test smart’.
Mastery Assessment: Determines how far the learner has progressed in skill and knowledge acquisition and points the learner to where they need to review, based on assessment results. The mastery test and review list are particularly helpful to the student preparing for a certification exam.
Certifications
AP Courses in Guernsey and Jersey also offers the facility for students to take the Microsoft Office Specialist exams and the European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) exams.
